ISO 37001 - Anti-bribery Management System
ISO 37001 – Anti-bribery Management System was published in 2016 and made a lot of noise in the market. The ISO 37001 standard is a suitable standard for organizations to improve their performance and contribute to maintaining the integrity of their management. The ISO 37001 standard has three important steps.
Prevention: ISO 37001 is a propositional standard designed to combat bribery. Therefore, one of the basic steps of the standard is to prevent the occurrence of bribery.
Detection: The second important step is to detect the bribery incident. The ISO 37001 standard contains requirements to help detect potential bribery incidents.
Response: After detecting bribery incidents, setting up response and action plans is also one of the important steps. A complete Anti-Bribery System is established when all steps are properly planned and implemented.
ISO 37001 standard does not guarantee 100% protection. However, with the Anti-bribery Management System, Fraud, Money laundering, Other activities related to Corrupt practices can be prevented, detected and penalized.
